    The mid-19th century was a time of immense change in Florence and throughout Tuscany. This map dated 1847 was produced at the very end of the reign of the Dukes of Tuscany over the city of Florence.

    This is the largest province of the region and it includes the cities of Gavorrano, Manciano, Scansano, Roccastrada and Massa Marittima.

    Livorno
    This map includes the city of Livorno, Isola di Capraia and Collesalvetti highlighting all the attractions.

    Lucca
    This map highlights all the major attractions located in the city.

    This map is from 1791 and shows the northern part of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, which includes portions of the Florentine State and the Pisan Territory with the Republic of Lucca.
