|Green Beans with Garlic & Olive Oil

- 2 pounds fresh green beans
- 3 cloves garlic thinly sliced
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1-2 tablespoons water
Rinse the green beans. Trim off the stem from the end of the beans.
The beans can be steamed using a steaming basket and a small pot with a cover. Add the water to the pot and bring to water to a boil. Lower heat to medium low and add beans, cover and steam for 5 minutes. Beans will be tender crisp.
Transfer beans to a servng bowl. Add olive oil and stir to coat beans. Add sliced garlic and salt, stir to combine.
If not using a steaming basket add water to a 12 inch skillet. Cover and bring water to a boil. Lower heat to medium, add beans, cover and cook for 5-7 minutes until beans are tender crisp. Add olive oil and stir to coat. Add sliced garlic and salt, stir to combine. Makes 4 servings.
