Padula Photo Gallery
Start Here for a photo tour of the comune of Padula, which is located in the province of Salerno in the Campania region, or select from the list below. Padula is one of 17 municipalities located in the Vallo di Diano (Valdiano), which covers the south-eastern side of Campania. The majority of the town is located on a hillside. Some points of interest include the Certosa di San Lorenzo (also known as Certosa di Padula), which was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998, the Museo del Cognome and the Joseph Petrosino museum. Joe was born in Padula before moving to New York City and becoming a police officer who was a pioneer in the fight against organized crime.
