    Bust of Filippo Neri

The bust of Filippo Neri can be found in the Chapel of San Filippo Neri at the Montagna Spaccata in Gaeta. Above the statue and below the statue are plaques describing the significance of Filippo Neri. I have written out these descriptions below.
    Description above statue:

Here, where the rocks split, marking the death of Christ, often prayed a man named FILIPPO NERI. This solitary pilgrim from the city of Cassino decided to abandon the outside world and all its glories.
The priests of the congregation of which he is the patron saint, placed this bust to commemorate the tri-centennial of is death, 26 May 1895.
