In 2010 South Africa hosted the 19th World Cup Tournament. The format for the event was the same as in 2006. The field consisted of 32 teams. The teams were divided into 8 groups of 4. Only the top two teams in each group advanced to the knockout stage. In the first round Italy was placed in Group F with New Zealand, Paraguay and Slovakia. Italy put forth a lack luster effort and finished last in group play. Below is list of the players that participated in the tournament, goals they scored and the results of each match the team played.
