In 1974 West Germany hosted the 10th World Cup Tournament and in the end they hoisted their second title. 16 teams qualified for the tournament and they were divided into 4 groups of 4. Italy landed in Group 4 with Argentina, Haiti and Poland. They finished group play with a 1-1-1 record, but that was only good enough for third in their group and out of the tournament. The 1974 tournament was also the first time the current trophy was presented to the winning team. The trophy was created by Italian sculptor Silvio Gazzaniga. Below is list of the players that participated in the tournament, goals they scored and the results of each match the team played.
