Teresa Mastrobuono is a second-generation Italian-American living with her husband near Lancaster, PA. Her childhood was spent in her grandmother's home, soaking up all things Italian. Since she moved out of her grandmother's house at the age of 8, she has been searching for a way back.

For the past 30 years, Teresa has been a professional actress, writer, storyteller, mime, and director. Her original theater pieces, many inspired by her Italian culture, have been presented at theaters throughout the USA and Italy. For 8 years Teresa was co-artistic director of CoMotion Theater in Lancaster, PA, which she helped to found. She is one of only a few hundred people worldwide to have completed the course in “Commedia dell'arte” in Italy with famed performer and maskmaker Antonio Fava. This foray into an art form of her culture of origin inspired her to create her original theater piece Andata e Ritorno (Round Trip), a tender comedy about making a lasting connection with one's roots. It has been presented in theaters all over the east coast

Terri has parlayed her love of people into a successful business organizing and leading tours in Italy. In 2009, she decided if she was to be in Italy, she may as well have a house there. A friend suggested looking in the region of Abruzzo. It was love at first sight, and a guesthouse she calls “Casa da Carmine” after her father, was born.

Teresa continues to write theater pieces, stories, and a blog, casadacarmine.blogspot.com
