Abruzzo
The beautiful region of Abruzzo, which is located in central Italy, is one of the least populated of all the Italian regions, but it is definitely one of the best kept secrets in Italy. It is surrounded by the Lazio region to the west, the Marche region to the north, the Molise region to the south, and the Adriatic Sea to the east. Abruzzo consists of four provinces: Chieti, L'Aquila, which is the regional capital, Pescara, and Teramo. Abruzzo, which is often referred to as the green region of Europe due in part to its National Parks, consists of many mountains and hills, most notable is the Apennine Range. This makes the region a great setting for skiers and campers. Let's not forget that to the east lies the Adriatic Sea and a coastline filled with sandy golden beaches and resorts. What's not to love about this region. It has a little bit of everything. It makes you wonder how this region could possibly be kept such a secret. There is much to learn about this strong and gentle land. From the National Parks to the various traditions & customs. This guide will help you uncover all the charm and beauty that this region has to offer.
